I've decided to dip my toes back into the blogging pool. For 2026, I'm planning a year-long project and this blog will be a good way to document it and keep me accountable.
In the past, I've participated in a lot of different art challenges: junk journal january, 100 day project, Index-card-a-day, Inktober, Nanowrimo, Nanojoumo, carved December... I've even done a few year-long projects. What I've noticed though, is that when I'm following a challenge, I take the time to create on a daily basis, no matter what. And when that challenge ends, I can't seem to find the motivation to actually create daily.
So I've decided to start my own challenge: 365 hearts. It would be easy to leave it at that, but I'm also adding a time element: I have to work on it for at least 15 minutes. So no quick doodle. No short poem. Those can be starting points to something bigger. I have so many art and craft supplies that anything can happen.
I'm excited to see where this takes me and how I'll grow as an artist.

Great idea! It’s fun to see your blog again. I miss blogging sometimes, but it’s not as easy without a computer - only have a phone now,. though I do still have my old blog spot blog, if I ever get motivated to try again. Enjoying reading yours. Good luck on your 365 hearts project!
ReplyDeleteI’ve been feeling very rusty setting up my blog posts. I don’t remember it being so hard! 😆
